COOMBS. – BRANDT. The marriage took place at Klipplaat 8th May, of Anne Evelyn BRANDT, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. BRANDT, to Abram Elario COOMBS, third son of Mr and Mrs F.E. COOMBS, of Port Elizabeth.

NAUDE. – FIVAZ. Married at Sydenham, Port Elizabeth, on 14th May, 1948, Joyce Ethel, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H.C. FIVAZ, of Mossel Bay, to John, youngest son of Mrs M. NAUDE of Port Elizabeth.

DEATHS.

BENNETTE. – H.C.B. (Barney), passed away 8th May, 1948, at the age of 74 years. Father of Gladys, Stanley, Olga, and Gordon, at the residence of his daughter in Johannesburg.

CUNNINGHAM. – John Clinton, internment of ashes will take place in the St John's Cemetery, Walmer on Monday at 12 o'clock.

DESCHAMPS. – Carolina (Carrie), passed away 13 May, 1948, at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, Sister of Johanna and Jim. Remembered by sister and brother-in-law.

STANDER. – Adriaan, husband of Alida and father of Rubin, Johan, Wilma, Maria and Milt, passed away at his daughter's residence, 96 3rd Avenue, Newton Park, at the age of 57 years. Service in Jones and Rice Chapel, 43 Russell Road, this (Saturday) afternoon at 4.30 o'clock, thence the funeral will proceed to North End Cemetery.

VALENTINE. – Rachel, passed away at 116 Wild Street, Port Elizabeth, 13th May, 1948, at the age of 32 years. The funeral will leave the above address this (Saturday) afternoon at 2.30 o'clock for the North End Cemetery.
