Only Ralph, John and William appear on the settler returns. Joseph's Death Notice (Cape Archives) shows that he did go to the Cape. Mary must also have gone to the Cape as she married Joshua CAWOOD in Grahamstown in 1829. Samuel LIVERSAGE's correspondence with the Colonial Office of 12 November 1819 says: " Thos. MANLEY only takes 3 children instead of seven as some are ded and is frends take the other".
