Begs to acquaint the Gentry and the Inhabitants of the Eastern Frontier that he has commenced business in New-street, Graham's Town, nearly opposite the "Prince Albert Hotel", and from the advantages he has had in Europe, and his intimate acquaintance with all the most improved and delicate mechanical constructions, trusts he shall meet with a share of public support. Horizontal, Detached Lever, Duplex, Compensated, Repeating, and all descriptions of Time Keepers, Musical Boxes &c cleaned, adjusted and repaired, with accuracy and care.
Chronometers rated by Astronomical observation. Dials, Vertical, Direct, Inclining, Reclining, or any other plane for any latitude, constructed and properly fixed.

Paymaster C.J. LINDAM, Rifle Brigade, being about to leave the colony, desires that all claims against him may be sent to him at King William's Town, without delay; and that all Cheques drawn by him on the Eastern Province Bank may be presented for payment before the 15th April 1850.

Just Received by the undersigned a Consignment of the above.
Mr. EARLE having attached to his powerful Soda water Machine an apparatus for making the above article in its purest state, has after repeated careful experiments, produced an article quite equal to that of Sir James MURRAY – and now offers it with perfect confidence for the approval of the public.
Mr. EARLE's preparation contains more Magnesia than any I have seen, and he has enabled me to supply customers at considerably lower prices than usual.

DIED at East London on the 15th inst, Elizabeth SIMPSON, Wife of Benjamin SIMPSON, Merchant, East London, aged 36 years. "May she rest in peace."

Notice
In consequence of the damage occasioned by wagons outspanning on the Farm, Ettrick Hill, Fish River Rand, the undersigned will demand of every person, wishing to outspan, the sum of one shilling and six pence per span of oxen. Parties refusing to comply with the above demand will not be allowed to outspan. All cattle found trespassing will be impunded.
