South African History Time Line maintained by Dennis Pretorius. The web site states that the initial details of these pages were supplied by David Morris, Anne Lehmkuhl and Ian Scholtz (as does the site below), but these two timelines do differ in many instances and it is worth checking both.

These are presented in a much more readable style than on the previous web site, but sources of the information, although some are included, are few.
German South African Resource Page - by Joachim Schubert. Dedicated to German South Africans, including genealogy, local history and church matters. Where ever possible, identical pages have been made available in English and German.
