Sir,
I received your favor yesterday but understanding there are some additional particulars to which I must revert previous to making up the party to proceed to the Cape of Good Hope I should wish to be notified of them. I should wish also to understand whether the party must consist of married people only. I am Sir with many thanks for your polite attention to my last
Your most obliged & obedient serv't

Sir,
Being possessed of a little property and desirous of going to the Cape of Good Hope I am anxious to be supplied with particulars relative to the emigration. On making application at the Colonial Office I was directed to apply to you (by letter) for any information I might wish to obtain on this subject. I have accordingly taken the liberty of troubling you & shall be obliged by your favoring me with a statement of the conditions on making a settlement in the colony.
I am Sir your most obed't humble serv't
Jas. NIXON
