My Lord,
It is the wish of the persons hereinafter annexed that I should apply to your Lordship for a grant of land at the Cape of Good Hope. Should your Lordship aprove of my request I am ready to enter into and abide by the rules and regulations laid down for the same.
I have always been in the Farming Business and my object at the Cape will be solely that of cultivating the land aforesaid for that purpose. I beg your Lordship will as soon as convenient after a selection as taken place inform me of the result of this my request.
